The dynastic and chivalric orders of the House of Bailey are derived from ecclesiastical authority originally vested in His Beatitude +Symeon Ioannovskij (Steven Mark Holdridge, 1953–2016), Metropolitan and First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in America / Holy Eastern Orthodox Catholic and Apostolic Church of North America (THEOCACNA). This autocephalous Orthodox jurisdiction, founded with the blessing of Patriarch Saint Tikhon of Moscow and chartered in 1927 in the United States, operated independently within the Eastern Orthodox tradition. THEOCACNA maintained apostolic succession and the traditional Orthodox liturgy, thereby providing an ecclesiastical framework for the establishment and transmission of honorific orders. These orders, now under the patronage of the House of Bailey, are further supported by recognition from HM Omukama Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I of Bunyoro-Kitara, a restored traditional monarchy constitutionally protected within the Republic of Uganda.
